# Fraud Control

The **Fraud Control** page provides security features that help protect your account from unauthorized usage, fraudulent calls, and unexpected charges. You can restrict outbound calling, set account-level rate limits, and block specific phone numbers or dialing patterns.

***

### Section 1: Call Restrictions

This section allows you to quickly enable or disable outbound call types for your account.

#### Disable International Termination

When enabled, your account will not be able to place outbound calls to international destinations (if previously enabled).

This option is recommended if your business only makes domestic calls and you want to prevent unauthorized international calling.

***

#### Disable Termination

When enabled, all outbound calling from your account is blocked.

This feature can be useful if:

* Your account is temporarily inactive.
* You suspect unauthorized usage (PBX/SPA compromized).
* You want to prevent all outbound traffic during maintenance or security incidents.

<figure><img src="/files/bE3GiJr1ZxUpx9lHfcht" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

***

### Section 2: Account-Level Stop Rate

The **Account-Level Stop Rate** helps prevent expensive or fraudulent calls by limiting the maximum per-minute rate allowed for outbound calls.

Enter the maximum cost per minute that your account is allowed to dial.

* Calls to destinations with a rate higher than the configured value will be automatically rejected by the system.
* The minimum allowed stop rate is **0.001**.
* The maximum configurable stop rate is **0.50**.

If you require a higher stop rate, please contact your account representative for assistance.

#### Example

If you configure a stop rate of **0.05**, any destination costing more than **$0.05 per minute** will be blocked automatically.

<figure><img src="/files/UuUSDSkxdPVkYmeqYxUf" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

***

### Section 3: Block Phone Numbers

The **Block Phone Numbers** feature allows you to prevent outbound calls to specific phone numbers or dialing prefixes.

You can block:

* A complete phone number
* A partial number (prefix/pattern)

#### Examples

| Block Value     | Result                                                                |
| --------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **19495551234** | Blocks calls only to this specific phone number. |
| **1949** | Blocks all outbound calls to any number beginning with **1949**. |
| **011** | Blocks international dialing using the 011 prefix (where applicable). |

This feature is useful for:

* Blocking known fraudulent destinations.
* Preventing calls to premium-rate numbers.
* Restricting calls to specific countries or area codes.
* Enforcing company dialing policies.

<figure><img src="/files/S8Mt2bK3igLxOW4snaHK" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

***

### Best Practices

* Configure an account-level stop rate appropriate for your calling requirements.
* Regularly review blocked numbers and dialing patterns.
* Monitor call activity and update fraud control settings as your business needs change.

Using these fraud control features can significantly reduce the risk of toll fraud and help protect your account from unexpected charges.

## &#x20;SIP Trunking Troubleshooting

### Half of my Inbound SIP Calls are failing&#x20;

Make sure you are accepting calls from all the IPs listed above. The most common reason for a failed inbound call is that your system is rejecting calls from a few IPs.

### We can not make outbound SIP calls.&#x20;

This can be because of some missing configuration or wrong format in SIP Signalling:&#x20;

* Make sure the IP you are sending calls from is added to your account.&#x20;
* While adding the IP address, make sure Termination is Enabled. Based on those settings, we decide whether calls will be terminated or not.&#x20;
* For the USA and Canada call must come with a "1" Prefix + 10 Digit phone number. Example 19499300360
* For International, it should be 011+Country Code+Phone number.

### International Calls are Failing

For Security and Protection, by default, international calls are disabled. [Contact your Account Rep](https://www.didforsale.com/contact) to allow international termination. &#x20;

### I can make only 1 Outbound Call

There are certain limits on a new account. We would like to know our customers, how they would be using the platform and for what use cases.\
This allows us to understand your needs and helps us keep our environment safe. [Please contact our sales team to remove the limits.](https://www.didforsale.com/contact) <br>

# Asterisk

Asterisk is a free and open source platform sponsored by Digium. The open source Asterisk platform is used by businesses of all sizes in both public and private sector to build communication applicati

## Asterisk Interconnection Guide

To create an interconnection between your asterisk server and DIDForSale servers, you need to create 4 trunks in your sip.conf file. Two trunks for incoming calls and two for outgoing calls. For creating the trunks, open /etc/asterisk/sip.conf file in your favourite editor and add the following trunk details into it.&#x20;

**`[didforsale_in1]`** \
`host=66.209.76.70` \
`type=peer` \
`context=from-‐didforsale` \
`disallow=all` \
`allow=ulaw` \
`nat=yes` \
`canreinvite=yes` \
`insecure=very` \
`dtmfmode=rfc2833` \
`qualify=yes`&#x20;

**`[didforsale_in2]`** \
`host=66.209.76.72`\
`type=peer` \
`context=from-‐didforsale` \
`disallow=all` \
`allow=ulaw` \
`nat=yes` \
`canreinvite=yes` \
`insecure=very` \
`dtmfmode=rfc2833` \
`qualify=yes`&#x20;

**`[didforsale_out1]`** \
`host=term1.didforsale.com`\
`type=peer` \
`context=from-‐didforsale` \
`disallow=all` \
`allow=ulaw` \
`nat=yes` \
`canreinvite=yes` \
`insecure=very` \
`dtmfmode=rfc2833` \
`qualify=yes`&#x20;

**`[didforsale_out2]`** \
`host=term2.didforsale.com`\
`type=peer` \
`context=from-‐didforsale` \
`disallow=all` \
`allow=ulaw` \
`nat=yes` \
`canreinvite=yes` \
`insecure=very` \
`dtmfmode=rfc2833` \
`qualify=yes`&#x20;

Now you have to create a dial plan entry to catch all incoming calls coming from DIDForSale. To do that, open /etc/asterisk/extensions.conf and add the below entries&#x20;

**`[from-‐didforsale]`** \
`exten => _X.,1,Noop(Incoming calls from DIDForSale)` \
`same => n,Dial(SIP/1000)` \
`same => n,Hangup`&#x20;

The above dial plan entry catches all calls coming from DIDForSale and sends them to extension 1000 in your system. You can change that to forward calls to any other extension or IVR on your system.&#x20;

For making outgoing calls from your system through DIDForSale, create the below dial plan entry&#x20;

**`[outbound]`** \
`exten => _X.,1,Dial(SIP/didforsale_out1/${EXTEN})` \
`same => n,Dial(SIP/didforsale_out2/${EXTEN})` \
`same => n,Hangup`&#x20;

Change the context name ***“outbound”*** in the above entry to the context name of your extensions.

If you encounter any difficulties during the integration process or have questions specific to your PBX/Phone system, please don’t hesitate to contact our support team. # FreeSwitch

FreeSWITCH is a free & open-source application server for real-time communication, WebRTC, telecommunications, video & VoIP. Build PBX systems, IVR services & videoconferencing

## Configuration

You need to allow our IPs in your FreeSwitch server to receive calls from the DID number. For that, go to your FreeSwitch configuration directory and edit the file **acl.conf.xml** inside the autoload directory of the FreeSwitch configuration directory. Find the domains section in the configuration file and add our IPs as shown below.

```
<node type=”allow” cidr=”66.209.76.70/26″/>
```

Now you need to add a dial plan entry in your server to catch the incoming calls to the DID number. For that, go to your FreeSwitch configuration directory, then move to **dialplan/public** directory and add an XML file there with any name with the below contents.&#x20;

```
<include>
<extension name=”incoming_did”>
<condition field=”destination_number” expression=”^(13043935064)$”>
<action application=”transfer” data=”1000 XML default”/>
</condition>
</extension>
</include>
```

[<mark style="color:red;">NOTE: Replace 13043935064 with your DID number.</mark>](#user-content-fn-1)[^1]

This dial plan will route all incoming calls to the DID number to extension 1000. You will need to reload your ACL and XML after doing the configuration. To do that, go to FreeSWITCH CLI by using the command **“fs\_cli”** and run the commands **reloadacl** and **reloadxml**.

If you encounter any difficulties during the integration process or have questions specific to your PBX/Phone system, please don’t hesitate to contact our support team. We are available via email at **<contact-support@didforsale.com>** or by phone at **1-800-579-7676**. Our experts are ready to assist you and ensure a seamless integration experience.

# GoAutoDial

Goautodial is an open-source call center software suite that provides tools for inbound, outbound, and blended call handling. It offers features like auto-dialing, campaign management, and call record

## GoAutoDial SIP Trunk Configuration Guide

For configuring our DID number with GoAutoDial, you will have to create two trunks in your system to allow calls from our server. You can do that by going to the Admin section in your GoAutoDial and choosing the carriers. Click on “Add a New Carrier” and add the following parameters

```
Carrier Name: DIDforsale_in1
Account Entry :
host=66.209.76.70
type=peer
context=from-trunk
disallow=all
allow=ulaw
nat=yes
canreinvite=yes
insecure==very
dtmfmode=rfc2833
Protocol: SIP
Active: Y
```

Leave other fields as default or blank.&#x20;

Create one more carrier with the same options except for the host parameter in the Account Entry field.&#x20;

```
Carrier Name: DIDforsale_in2
Account Entry :
host=66.209.76.72
type=peer
context=from-trunk
disallow=all
allow=ulaw
nat=yes
canreinvite=yes
insecure==very
dtmfmode=rfc2833
Protocol: SIP
Active: Y
```

Now you will have to route the DID number to the extension you want. You can do that by selecting **Inbound –> Add a new DID**, add your DID number, and add the extension to where you want to forward the calls coming to DID in the Extension field and submit.

# Getting Started

This document explains how Grandstream GDMS (Grandstream Device Management System) is used in environments where DIDforSale is the SIP trunking provider. It clearly distinguishes between:

* SIP trunk configuration on a PBX either **CloudUCM (recommended)** or **on‑prem UCM**
* SIP account provisioning directly to devices via GDMS UC (limited to only few Grandstream devices with no PBX level features)

The goal is to provide administrators with a clear, correct, and repeatable integration approach.

It covers:

* SIP account creation at DIDforSale
* SIP trunk setup in the Grandstream PBX via GDMS
* Inbound & outbound routing

### Prerequisites

Before beginning, gather these from your DIDforSale account:

* SIP Domain / Server (example: **lxy.didforsale.com**)
* SIP Username / ID (example: **100xxxxxxx**)
* SIP Password (provided by DIDforSale)
* Assigned DID numbers for inbound calls and outbound caller ID
* GDMS Account
* CloudUCM or on‑prem UCM added to GDMS
* Added Grandstream devices, supported by GDMS<br>

# Inbound Routes

To handle inbound calls from your DID numbers in your cloud PBX you will need to create a Inbound Trunk to route the call to its destination. This ensures inbound SIP calls with your DID reach chosen endpoints correctly.

In Cloud PBX interface:

* Go to **Extension/Trunk → Inbound Routes**
* Click **Add** to create a new Inbound route

<figure><img src="/files/bkdGU2BOa2jJfmw35SiO" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Fill in the details as suggested below

1.

| Inbound Route Name                       | <mark style="color:$danger;">DIDForSale\_Inbound</mark>            |
| ---------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Pattern: Inbound Number Matching Pattern | <mark style="color:$danger;">\_1234567890</mark> (your DID number) |
| Default Mode: Default Destination | Choose a destination — extension, IVR, ring group |

<figure><img src="/files/5UZmWJ29oZqf8VWGdCa1" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="/files/O0sinqgQ7cROxGCxv53G" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Click **Save** and **Apply Changes**.

***

You can also create multiple trunks to handle multiple DIDs separately or can have a generic trunk to send all calls to one destination. The example of handling multiple DID with different destinations is below. In the example below, one DID is ringing to extension 1000 while another is being used as a fax number.

<figure><img src="/files/rueDVSykJSkUuxVIfWBz" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

To create a generic inbound trunk set values as per below.

| Inbound Route Name                       | <mark style="color:$danger;">DIDForSale\_Inbound</mark>                                   |
| ---------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Pattern: Inbound Number Matching Pattern | <mark style="color:$danger;">\_x.</mark> (To send all incoming calls to same destination) |
